Chemical-free Water Treatment

Conventional methods of treating cooling towers rely significantly on chemicals to kill bacteria and reduce water blowdown. However, the use of chemicals increases the concentration levels of dissolved minerals (especially calcium ions and magnesium ions), which leads to scale buildup in piping systems that, in turn, decreases heat exchange efficiency.

Enva uses the DeCalon electrolytic water treatment system, which improves energy efficiency (by 2% to 15%, depending on the state of maintenance of the chiller system), reduces water blowdown (typically by 60% to 80%) and removes the chemical footprint.
